Guidance Prayer: An Overview

Definition: A guidance prayer is a spiritual practice where individuals seek clarity, direction, or wisdom from a higher power. Translation of the Dua of Istikhara:

O Allah, I seek your guidance (in making a choice) by virtue  of your knowledge, and I seek ability by virtue of your power,  and i do not. You know, and I know not, and you are the knowner of the unseen.

Guidelines of prayer: 

I hope they will encourage you to make this year a year of prayer.
  • Know to whom you are speaking.
  • Thank him.
  • Ask for God's will.
  • Say what you need.
  • Ask for forgiveness.
  • Pray with a friend.
  • Pray the Word.

Steps of Prayer:

  • GRATITUDE:Begins by thanking God in a personal dialogue for whatever you are most grateful for today.
  • AWARENESS: Revisit the times this past day when you were and were not the best version of yourself.
  • SIGNIFICANT MOMENTS.
